Vincentian Artiste: Skarpyon

Skarpyon has been singing all his life and has carved a niche for himself on the Ragga Soca scene. His first major public performance was at the Junior Calypso competition Skarpyon joined the National Youth Band as a lead vocalist developing his skills as an Entertainer. Skarpyon has released tracks namely; On Fire, Lookin Fine, Turn The Lights Down Low, Leave Me Alone, Carnival Song, Soca Love, Ragga Muffin, Wine’N, She Aint Get It Yet, Hammer N Conchs, Ready, Waistline, Feet Parade all releases from the Stingah Man himself. Skarpyon also entered the Vincy Mas National Calypso Monarch Competition arena with his song ‘Until’ and was awarded Calypso Monarchy.“Never Forget” was a patriotic song urging all to “Never Forget their roots. The video went on to win best video of the year. 2019 saw Skarpyon releasing both a track and video for that year’s bagger ‘RUM DO DAT’ which is still making waves.

2022 We saw big releases from Contagious to the ladies favorite Real Steel, Hold It and the bagger BIG ROAD. Skarpyon even released a video for the track Big Road that has youtube viewers in a frenzy.

This year 2023 Skarpyon has proven once again that he is indeed a true consistent entertainer. The Stingah man gave us the Ragga Soca Project which comprised of Dilute it and Not Today; colab with the up and coming rising star Keke which was written by Skarpyon named ‘Stunta’; the touch tribute to one of his number fans who has now gained wings entitled R.I.T.P; and he topped us off with the current year hit Lay Pipe. This song has all the ladies reaching for their buckets.

Skarpyon a true Artiste creating his own style of music by fusing genres often called ‘The Crossover King’ by his peers. Skarpyon gives all the credit to the Almighty for his many talents.
